| FAQ DeskFrequently Asked Questions:
Common Product Questions
- How long does a fully charged Power Pack I & Power Pack I Li+ last?
Actual spraying time may vary depending on your individual project, but a fully charged Power Pack I and Power Pack I Li+ should provide over 3 hours of constant spraying.
- How long does it take to charge the Power Pack I & Power Pack I Li+?
The Power Pack I & Power Pack I Li+ will take approximately 3.5 hours to recharge from a fully discharged unit using the fast charger that's provided.
- Does the battery in the Power Pack I or Power Pack I Li+ have a "memory" and have to be fully discharged before re-charging?
No, the lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery does not have a memory, therefore you can charge them at anytime, even if it isn't fully discharged.
- What is the typical lifespan of the battery?
The battery life of the Li-Ion used in the Power Packs can be anywhere from 2-5 years, depending on the number of charges and discharges, as well as the shelf life prior to usage by the consumer.
- Can I buy a replacement battery without having to purchase entire Power Pack?
Yes, but it has to be serviced through our factory under the battery replacement service program. We will replace any faulty battery for one year after purchase as part of our warranty program. After the warranty has expired, customers may purchase the "Replacement Li-Ion Battery for the Power Pack" service. Send the "Power Pack" back and we will replace the battery and go over the Power Pack for the service fee.
- Can I purchase additional tanks without the Power Pack and use one Power Pack with multiple tanks?
Yes, as long as the tanks are part of the Green Gorilla® product line and are approved as compatible with the model of the Power Pack you have purchased.
- How does the Power Pack maintain a constant pressure in the Tank?
The Power Pack has an internal switching device that detects the tank pressure, thus turning the Power Pack unit on and off as needed to maintain the pressure.
- Is there a pressure relief on the tank and where is it?
Yes, there is an automatic pressure relief valve built into the patented Green Gorilla® Easy-Twist Quick-Connect. If the pressure in the tank should increase to a high value (factory set), the pressure relief valve will automatically open to vent the pressure. The pressure in the tank can also be released manually by depressing the red button in the center of the connector on the tank when the Power Pack or other accessories are not attached to the Easy-Twist Quick-Connect on the tank.
- Can the liquids being sprayed be stored in the tank between uses without needing to flush it after every use?
Yes, but we do not recommend storing liquids in the tanks for an extended period of time. You can minimize potential tank problems by emptying the tank and flushing with water after each use.
Product Availability
- Will you be getting in more of the 1 gallon Green Gorilla® sprayers and the Power Pack I?
We will no longer be producing the 1 gallon Green Gorilla® tank. We will continue to sell the Power Pack I that is compatible with the 1 gallon tank series A, while supplies last. We have discontinued our entire Series A line. We will be launching our Series B Product Line, along with the new Power Pack I Li+ in the spring of 2012.
- Can I still get replacement parts for my 1 gallon tank or Power Pack I?
Please check the website for any available replacement parts. Replacement Parts section or contact us directly.
New "Series B" Product Line
- When will your new series of spray tanks and accessories be available?
Our new product line should be available for spring of 2012.
- Will the Power Pack I be compatible with the new 1.5 and 2.5 gallon tanks?
No, they are not compatible. We have improved the design of the Easy-Twist Quick-Connect, but unfortunately it does not allow for connection with the Power Pack I.
Commercial Product Line
- What's special about the Commercial Products?
Our Commercial Product Line is heavier duty and more chemical resistant than the standard series B products. We use Viton® seals to stand up to industrial level chemicals, like bleach. Also, the Commercial Products have an easy hose attachment system with built in shut-offs, so that a professional can swap out equipment while the tank is still pressurized.
- Are the Commercial Products compatible with the Standard Products?
Due to the special hose connections, most Commercial Products are not compatible with the standard product line. Each item listed will state it's range of compatibility. If you have any questions about compatibility, please contact us.
- When will the Commercial Products be available?
Our new Commercial Product Line should be available for spring of 2012.
Trouble Shooting
- I've lost my owner's manual. Can I get a new one?
Yes. We have the owner's manual at this link for download so that you can print it from home.
- My Power Pack won't work. What's wrong with it?
- When the Power Pack is plugged into the provided charger and plugged into an electrical socket, is the light green or red?
- If it's red, let it charge until the light turns green. If the light doesn't turn green within 4 hours, your battery or charger are not working properly. Please contact us for service or replacement parts.
- If it's green, unplug the Power Pack from the charger completely. Once disconnected completely, turn on the Power Pack. If it doesn't turn on (there will be audible humming from the Power Pack) your Power Pack is in need of service. Please contact us.
- The Power Pack will not run if connected to the charger.
- My tank doesn't spray or it sprays poorly. What's wrong with it?
- Check to see if your hose is kinked.
- Assure that the problem isn't with your Power Pack by either testing your Power Pack or pumping your tank manually with the manual pump. If the tank sprays as a result of manually pumping, the issue is with your Power Pack. Please see above instructions.
- Check to see if your filter has become clogged. Refer to your owner's manual for it's location and directions for cleaning. If you have continued clogging issues, assure that your are straining your solutions properly.
- Remove the adjustable spray tip and try spraying without it. If it sprays without it, your nozzle may be damaged or clogged.
- Are you using a water-based or oil-based solution? Oil-based solutions are thicker and thus more difficult to spray. The Green Gorilla® Sprayer can spray oil-based solutions, but depending on the thickness of the solution, there may be a reduction in the spray performance. The Green Gorilla® spray tanks are not recommended for oil-based solutions.
- If none of these fix your problem, please contact us.
